Salted Cookies with Tomato Paste

Ingredients

  • 500 gr Vala Pastacılık 
  • 100 gr Vala Krema
  • 1 kg Flour
  • 25 gr Salt
  • 50 gr Granulated Sugar
  • 100 gr Tomato Paste
  • 2 Eggs

95-100 minutes (including 1 hour resting time)

Instructions

1.        Knead the Dough

  • In a mixer, combine Vala Pastacılık, Vala Krema, flour, salt, granulated sugar, tomato paste, and eggs.
  • Knead the ingredients until a smooth dough is formed.

2.        Rest the Dough

  • Allow the dough to rest in the refrigerator for one hour.

3.        Roll Out the Dough

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F)
  • Roll out the dough on a marble surface using a rolling pin.

4.        Brush with Egg Yolk

  • Spread egg yolk over the rolled-out dough.

5.        Add Toppings (Optional)

  • You can add sesame or black cumin for added flavor.

6.        Cut and Arrange

  • Cut the dough into squares and arrange them on a baking tray.

7.        Bake

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the cookies turn golden brown.

8.        Serve

  • Allow the cookies to cool before serving.
