Şekerpare

Ingredients:

  • 300 gr Vala Pastry
  • 100 gr Yudum Sunflower Oil
  • 800 gr flour
  • 300 gr powdered sugar
  • 300 gr powdered almonds or powdered hazelnuts 40 gr baking powder
  • 0.5 gr liquid vanilla
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 8 eggs


Sherbet Ingredients:

  • 1 kg water 
  • 1 kg granulated sugar 
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt


For the Dough:

Sift the flour first, then split it open in the center and add the ingredients one at a time. Knead the dough with your hand or by using a mixer. When you complete this step, it is important to rest the dough for 10 minutes. Arrange the rested dough on the tray in a long or round shape. Brush egg yolk on the long ones. You can decorate with hazelnuts or almonds if desired. It needs to be baked in a preheated oven. The key is to begin baking at 100°C, raise the temperature to 170°C when the şekerpare balls spread, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden yellow.

Boil all the ingredients for the syrup on the stove. You must have prepared the sherbet beforehand, pour the syrup over the hot şekerpare balls you just took out of the oven and serve it later. Bon appetite.
