Instructions


Preparing the Dough:

  1. In a mixing bowl, lightly knead all the ingredients together. Make sure the Vala Bella Rende Rende remains visible in the dough for a rustic texture.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. After resting, fold the dough three times using your elbow or rolling pin, allowing it to rest for 30 minutes between each fold.
  4. Finally, shape the dough into 100 g portions. Roll them out on the work surface and let them rest for another 30 minutes.
  5. Gently press the dough with your fingertips as if shaping a pastry. Brush with egg yolk and make shallow cuts with a sharp knife.
  6. Let the shaped dough rest for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and bake for 25 minutes.


Optional:


Before baking, you can add cheese and tomato between the layers for extra flavor.
